Music has always been my way of connecting with people.
I'm an independent singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer based in the Netherlands. My music blends soul, folk, funk, jazz, reggae and world influences into a sound that is both intimate and adventurous. Growing up with roots in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas has shaped the way I write, play and experience music.
Whether I'm performing solo with my guitar and loop station, playing with a live band or creating music together with people from different backgrounds, my goal is always the same: to create moments that bring people together.
Alongside writing and releasing original music, I regularly perform acoustic reinterpretations of songs that have inspired me throughout my life. I enjoy giving familiar music a fresh, personal sound while continuing to develop my own catalogue of original songs.
Music is also a social force. Through workshops and community projects I work with people from different cultures and life experiences, using music as a way to build connection, creativity and understanding.

Inspiration
Subjects that I have dealt with myself and which you can probably recognize in. Then I provide the words of a melody and a beat to complete the feeling. This process can arise in different ways. Sometimes you first have music and then follow text and sometimes a whole idea in my head, which I then elaborate.
Through the years I have been able to play in various bands, such as the New Sound Sistem reggae band or the latin group Bandera Latina, I played in various coverbands and accompanied singers / singers on acoustic guitar in the past.
As a musician, I like to create new sounds. Writing, singing, playing ... My focus is on (modern) soul, afrobeat/fusion, dancemusic , folk and reggae.
I also created some Remixes on the Skio Music platform. Its very interesting to listen and work with stems from other musicians / producers and try to give the remix a diffrent twist.
